Enjoying Social Singles Events
Play by our rules and Social Singles will be a great place for you to find new friends and have a great social life.
Don't get nervous . Our Social Singles host will look after you and introduce you to people so there's no need to get nervous.
Dress smartly and make sure you also give yourself plenty of time to get ready.
Mood Music. Put on one of your favourite CDs to get you in the mood to party while you get ready.
Location. Make sure you know where you're going and how to get there. It is ok if you're a woman to be fashionably ten minutes late, but don't be any later as everyone will have started to socialise and you'll be at an immediate disadvantage.
Safety. Although our events are 100% safe, we still recommend women tell a good friend where they are going and carry a mobile.
Menu Etiquette. Don't order anything that will splash for example spaghetti or requires breaking such as lobster - if you make a mess you can guarantee you'll also look a mess!
Drinking. Some wine or champagne is fine but don't over do it.
Be yourself. Be polite and chatty making sure you socialise.
Keep an open mind . Amongst all the people you meet there will be one or two who could be an ideal friend. Stay in touch with those you've met and liked and feel free to meet up with them again (please read our Socialising Safely tips).
Enjoy. A dinner party is about socialising, so even if you are not enamoured with your dinner guests, enjoy the food and the company because it could have been that disheartening meal for one instead!
