•  Your Profile Take time to fill out your profile and complete it fully and accurately. There is nothing worse than to start reading someone's profile to find there are gaps, however unimportant they may seem to you. Be informative, complete, thorough and interesting and more importantly tell the truth. Occasionally change your profile too to keep it fresh and up to date.

•  A Photo It is important you do download a photo. You won't start communicating with someone if you don't know what the person you are talking to looks like. A bad photo is almost as bad as putting no photo on the site. Make sure the photo is recent and you're smiling and that it's fairly close up. I know we are not all photogenic models, but believe me any photo is far better than none at all - on some websites, a member with a photo can get anything up to 9 times the amount of emails compared to those who don't.
